Should you happen to be in the area, check out the Ty Mawr tea room in Rhyd Ddu. Run by an Anglo-Dutch couple, this little cafe has a very homely atmosphere and serves great cakes as well as a wider menu covering breakfast, packed lunches and some Dutch delicacies including savoury pancakes. Best of all there is a good stock of maps and walking guide books to help plan your next excursion over tea and cake!
